About Mrs. Mighton

Hello! My name is Tammie Mighton and I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade this year. I will be teaching language arts and social studies along with Mrs. Czirok who will be teaching math and science/health. This is my fourteenth year teaching (my eighth year here at Dodge,) and I couldn't be happier. Twinsburg is a wonderful community with strong parent support and great, hard-working students.

I am married to my husband Adam, and have a beautiful daughter Elena. She will turn 5 years old September, 2013. She is already growing up so fast!  We are also expecting a bundle of joy to join our family soon.  She is due to arrive October 31st - Halloween!

Here are a few random facts about me:

• I love reading.  My favorite childhood book is Ralph S. Mouse.  My current favorite children's book is Dragon Keeper by Carole Wilkinson.  While it's won many awards in Australia, it is not a well-known book here in the U.S.  It is a great epic fantasy though, so if you like that genre, check it out!  My favorite adult book is Snowflower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See.  I read it as part of book club I belonged to and loved it!
• My other hobbies include photography, baking, cooking (I'm a Food Network addict!,) scrapbooking, and card making.
